Psychological counselling
All decisions taken have a psychological background. In plastic surgery, both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, the aim is to achieve a realistic result taking into account the patient’s interests and requests. The surgeon and the psychologist responsible for assessing mental health are working together as a team to achieve a common goal: balance, harmony between “external” and “internal”. Beauty is subjective, as does the current beauty time. The main issue is: how does the patient see him/herself?
Consideration of psychological status is extremely important before plastic interventions, especially when a psychopathological background is considered. Nor is the current situation facilitated by the unachievable idea pattern dictated by social media, which in most cases does not reflect reality. Psychological support may be particularly important in reconstructive surgery for developmental disorders, oncological causes or injuries resulting from accidents. There are also many examples of how psychological well-being can be greatly enhanced after well-chosen aesthetic surgery.
Do not hesitate to contact you if you feel that you may also need psychological assistance in the cases described above.
