Treatment with BOTOX

Surgical removal of horizontal and glabellar wrinkles is difficult. The wrinkles in the frontal area cannot be detached from the intersections of different interventions, such as endoscopic frontal lift or coronal or hairline, due to the multitude of mymical muscles.

Botox is therefore a very important source for the treatment of wrinkles in the frontal region. Patients are satisfied with the outcome and accept it the need to repeat treatment after 4 to 6 months in order to obtain a more lasting result. Planning and marking prior to treatment is important to avoid side effects like eye paralysis.

For labelling, patients should wrinkle the eyebrows to maximise muscle activity. No more than 1.5 ml of botulinus toxin corresponding to 60U of botox may be administered during treatments. Treatment can be repeated at the earliest after 4 months, but not more than 3 times a year.
